ROAR Academy Policy

These guidelines apply to both onsite and online Students.

A. Required Items for Each Class

  1. A stable internet connection;
  2. A fully-charged laptop or computer with a working camera, speaker & microphone;
  3. A study area free of noise and distractions;
  4. Online communication accounts as required by ROAR Academy and installed on your computing device, such as Zoom, GitHub, or Microsoft;
  5. A working email address.

B. Class Rules & Regulations

  1. Student shall show up on time for every class.
  2. Even if Student is late to Class, such Class would still start and end at the scheduled time.
  3. Student is required to pay full attention during class without any distractions.
  4. If a teacher is late to class, the teacher will ensure Student completes the scheduled amount of time for the class.

C. Communication with ROAR Academy

  1. ROAR Academy’s TA team will respond to any inquiries or requests in ROAR Academy class session.
  2. ROAR Academy will maintain the normal operation of online classes under existing technical conditions and provide efforts to enhance and improve the technical conditions to enable Student’s participation in the online classes. However, ROAR Academy will not bear any responsibility for any interruption or stoppage of services due to a force majeure event or other causes, which are outside of ROAR Academy’s reasonable control.

D. Non-Infringement.​

  1. Student and Guardian acknowledges and agrees that ROAR Academy owns that all right, title, and interest, including all intellectual property rights, in and to the ROAR Academy Course related materials including any derivative works, modifications, or improvements made by Student and Guardian. If Student or Guardian acquires rights to any ROAR Academy Course related materials, Student or Guardian hereby irrevocably assigns such rights to ROAR Academy without further action by either party. Student and Guardian’s access to ROAR Academy Course related materials does not transfer or imply any transfer or license of any of ROAR Academy’s intellectual property rights. Student and Guardian will not translate, alter, modify, reproduce, distribute, transmit, display, publicly perform or create derivative works of any ROAR Academy Course related materials. Student and Guardian will not infringe ROAR Academy’s intellectual property rights in the ROAR Academy Course related materials. Student and Guardian will not use the ROAR Academy Course related materials for any other purpose other than Student’s individual learning.
  2. Student and Guardian will not disseminate information or engage in activities during online or onsite classes that infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates any intellectual property rights of any third party. Student and Guardian agree that all costs, damages, losses, and liabilities arising from Student and Guardian’s alleged or actual violation of a third party intellectual property right will be borne by Student and Guardian. ROAR Academy will have the right to recover losses from Student and Guardian.

E. Non-Disclosure

  1. Student and Guardian agree to keep strict confidentiality of any and all the ROAR Academy Course related materials. Confidential information includes but it is not limited to all physical and digital information related to the teaching and developing of sessions, including session plans, presentations, notes, outlines, tests and homework.
  2. Student and Guardian agree not to disclose the confidential information obtained from ROAR Academy to anyone unless required to do so by law.

F. Effective Time.

By completing the enrollment process, Student and Guardian acknowledge and agree to the terms of this ROAR Academy Service Agreement.
